Jobs recently presented plans to the Cupertino City Council for a “spaceship-like” office building that will serve as the new headquarters. Apple’s incredible growth trajectory prompted Jobs to pursue the ambitious project. The circular building will accommodate roughly 15,000 employees and would open by 2015.
This most recent proposal is just the latest example of how Apple continues to push the envelope in terms of building design. The glass retail outlets are tourist destinations and are synonymous with the brand.
Apple’s desire to create a work environment that is unique to their brand and image speaks to a larger issue for businesses of any size who are trying to secure the right office space for their business.
