Green All Around

Green All Around

In a city, it may seem that the only things that grow out of the ground are potholes. So it’s nice to take some time to smell the roses – or the sunflowers. The Willis Tower Farmers Market offers you the chance to do literally that.

From plants to produce, fruits to fragranced soaps, the market offers a slice of the rural in the heart of Chicago’s urban expanse. Vendors from all around the greater Chicagoland area come to show the fruits of their labor. River Valley Kitchens, a vendor from north of the city, brings popular and unique homemade food. Items include their garlic scape pesto, portobello salsa, and Lori Ziesmer of OfficeLinks‘ favorite, the pickled mushrooms. With products that have been labled as kitchen staples in notable publications, these farmers bring their finest. The best part is – the complimentary free samples! OfficeLinks clients can find themselves in the heart of the market by exiting the building on Wacker drive. It is open on Thursdays until October 29th from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
